Built on over 30 years of combined industry experience, Bee Motion was created with a simple mission: to make finance easier, clearer, and more accessible for individuals and businesses alike.

MEET THE TEAM
Founder
Stefan Barrett
Stefan founded Bee Motion Accounting Limited in 2015 and began his apprenticeship in 2008.
He oversees the direction of the firm and is the driving force behind our passionate, forward-thinking culture. Stefan heads up the Bee Motion Group, comprising seven subsidiaries.
With his entrepreneurial background spanning the clothing industry, construction, cryptocurrency & investments, his wealth of knowledge brings a diverse perspective that adds a real-life, practical spin to your business planning.
Practice Manager
George Moss
George has been with Bee Motion since the beginning of his career, which started with an apprenticeship in 2017.
He plays a central role in the day-to-day running of the firm, ensuring the operational side of the business runs smoothly.
His collaborative and inclusive approach shapes the way we work, and he is very much the heart and personality of Bee Motion.
Client Manager
Cherilyn Waring
Cherilyn began her apprenticeship with Bee Motion in 2022.
She supports clients with their ongoing needs, helping them stay organised and on track with deadlines while ensuring their queries are handled efficiently.
Approachable and people-focused, she brings a warm atmosphere to the team, all while never being shy about keeping everyone accountable.
Client Manager
Ben O’Riordan
Ben started his apprenticeship with Bee Motion in 2022.
He works directly with clients, ensuring they receive clear guidance and dependable support. He’s the go-to for anything Excel-related and brings strong compliance knowledge that contributes to streamlining processes at Bee Motion.
His dry, well-timed one-liners keep the whole team uplifted.
Junior Marketing Assistant
Lorna Risk
Lorna joined Bee Motion Accounting as a junior Marketing Assistant, supporting the firm’s marketing and social media activity with creativity and enthusiasm.
She studied Business and Media at college, which sparked her passion for social media and digital content creation. Working closely with Stefan, Lorna is gaining hands-on experience and support throughout her apprenticeship.
She plays a key role in shaping Bee Motion’s online presence and is keen to develop her marketing skills, build confidence, and gain a strong foundation in digital marketing to support her future career.
Head of Group Development
Callum Livingstone
Callum is the Head of Group Development and works closely with several of the Bee Motion Group’s subsidiaries.
Known as a true “do-it-all,” he supports a wide range of projects across the group and helps keep things moving in the right direction.
He handles all things tech-related and serves as a core support to the entire team.

Bee Motion was Born
October 2015
Bee Motion was founded by Stefan Barrett, starting out from his parents’ garage.
The Company was incorporated on 13th October 2015.
1st Employee
April 2017
Stefan hired George as an apprentice, marking him the first official team member and the launch of the Bee Motion Apprenticeship Programme.
Office Expansion
April 2017
Bee Motion expanded into it's first external space, moving operations into Ropeworks
Further Expansion
January 2018
The Hall Street office was purchased and renovated, including a dedicated boardroom mural paying tribute to the Manchester 22 bees, ready to host clients and support a growing team.
Paperless
November 2018
Bee Motion became a paperless Practice, implementing GoProposal, Sage, and Dext to streamline operations.

First Industry Recognition
October 2021
Bee Motion was named a finalist at the Accounting Excellence Awards and attended its first industry awards night: “Small firm of the year”
Team Growth Milestone
February 2022
The team expanded from 2 to 5 members as we continued to scale our operations offering further support to more businesses.
Work Experience Programme Launch
January 2023
Bee Motion introduced the work experience programme, providing hands-on experience to over 30 students annually.
Bee Motion Talks Pride: More Than Just a Month
June 2023
Bee Motion highlighted "Bee Motion Talks Pride" campaign to showcase inclusivity as a year-round commitment, not just during Pride month.
Expanding into Marketing and Social Media
August 2023
The team grew again, with a social media and marketing role added. Our online presence grew rapidly, reaching over 30 million views to date.
Poppy Appeal Campaign
November 2023
Bee Motion joined the Royal British Legion to support remembrance and veterans. Bradley our office superstar taking the lead role in this.
Operation Christmas Shoebox
December 2023
Over 100 gift boxes were created and distributed by the team and the local community as part of the festive initiative.
Community Volunteering
December 2023
The team took part in a day of volunteering at the Wellspring Homeless Shelter in Stockport.
Promoting Wellbeing with Ice Bath Installation
December 2023
An ice bath was installed at the office to support team wellbeing and recovery. Even some clients taking the plunge.
